A home first
We did not set out to create a rental.
When we bought the house, we saw more than a place to stay. We imagined a true home for ourselves — somewhere for long summers, family time and the simple pleasure of living well beside the Adriatic.
Two years in the making
Every choice made for living.
For two years, we renovated the house with that vision in mind. We considered how the doors should open to the terrace, where everyone would gather, where someone could disappear with a book and how the garden, pool and interiors could feel like one relaxed place.
Materials, lighting and everyday details were chosen as if we would use them every day — because that was always the idea. What guests experience now is not a staged version of home; it is the home we wanted to enjoy ourselves.

The Villa Lostura principle
Why Lostura
A name the sea gave us.
In the Adriatic waters just below the villa once lived the remarkable noble pen shell —Pinna nobilis — known locally as lostura. The species belongs only to the Mediterranean and is now critically endangered.
Its elegant form became our symbol. Its local name became ours: a small tribute to the sea, the landscape and the place this home belongs to.
