For a family holiday near Zadar, choose between summer sea inflatables in Petrčane, Zaton’s pools and waterslides, and the ropes courses at Adventure Park Kožino. Plan one main activity per day, confirm access and children’s requirements directly, and return to Villa Lostura as your private family base. All three are independent, separately paid outings.
Things to do with kids near Zadar, at your family’s pace
Some holiday days belong to the children. The ones when they ask for one more turn on the slide, find the courage for a rope bridge, or tell the same splash-filled story all the way home.
Give them a day or two like that during your stay. You do not need to change accommodation or fill every afternoon with an excursion. Stay together at Lostura, choose the outing that fits your children, and keep the rest of the week for the sea, the garden and your own pool.

At Žal beach, near Hotel Pinija and the Punta Radman peninsula, the seasonal inflatable water park adds a playful reason to get into the sea. Think balancing, climbing and splashing, followed by a relaxed beach break rather than a tightly timed excursion.
This is a seasonal summer idea, not a year-round attraction or a hotel-pool pass. Before planning the afternoon, check who is running the park and whether it will be open on your dates. The tourist office is a useful first contact.

Ask for the current operator’s contact, opening dates, session length and price. Confirm minimum age or height, swimming ability, life jackets, adult supervision and wind or sea restrictions. We have not verified a current operator booking line or a ticket price.
Zaton: make a day of the waterslides
If the children would choose a slide over almost anything else, Zaton Holiday Resort is worth planning around. Its Forest Oasis complex includes a children’s pool and two waterslides; the separate Beachfront complex has children’s water areas and a spray park. Ask which facilities are operating for your visit.
There is a useful distinction for Lostura guests: Zaton’s current FAQ permits outside day visitors. On our check date it listed resort entry at €4 per car per hour, with a €15 set of two loungers and one parasol required for pool access. These are separate charges, not a €15 family admission ticket; reconfirm the complete cost and current rental payment methods directly.

Confirm outside-visitor capacity, whether advance booking is needed, charges for your group, parking, and each slide’s age or height rules. At our September check, the FAQ already carried a seasonal pool-closure notice, so do not assume all complexes open together. Access is not included in a Villa Lostura booking.
Adventure Park Kožino: their next small triumph
For children who like a challenge on dry land, a ropes course changes the rhythm. A bridge that looks a little daunting at first can become the moment they want to tell everyone about over dinner. Adventure Park Kožino offers treetop courses and ziplines; choose a suitable course with the operator rather than assuming every route is for every child.

The published minimum climbing height is 120 cm. Children must be accompanied by an adult and wear closed shoes; sandals and flip-flops are not suitable. Ask about the course, equipment, briefing, adult participation and supervision for your group.
The homepage says “open on call”, while the pricing page lists seasonal hours. Arrange or confirm your visit first, including weather restrictions and the ticket category for each child.
One day or two? Leave room for the holiday
Choose Petrčane or Zaton
Have breakfast at Lostura, then head to the confirmed activity. Pick the sea inflatables for a beach-focused outing, or Zaton for a longer pool day. Leave enough time for lunch and shade, and return whenever the children have had enough.
Try the treetops in Kožino
Book a suitable park session, take closed shoes and let the group move at the pace of its least confident climber. Back at Lostura, an easy meal and an evening together can be plenty.
With younger siblings or grandparents, split the plans when it suits you. Some can join the outing while others enjoy the villa, then everyone meets back at the same table. Our guide to stays with two families or three generations explores that rhythm.
On days when outdoor attractions are closed or the weather does not suit, save them for another day. There is no need to turn a family holiday into a checklist. The Nin saltworks and old-town outing is another idea to check and arrange separately.
Your adventures, your arrangements
Guests organise transport, confirm suitability, book where required and pay each operator directly. These are independent businesses; Villa Lostura does not run the activities or include tickets, equipment, transfers or supervision. Check cancellation and weather policies with the provider.
Before leaving, pack water, sun protection, towels and a change of clothes for water days, or closed shoes for the ropes course. Follow operator instructions and keep children appropriately supervised around water and heights, including back at the villa pool.

What can we do with kids near Zadar from Villa Lostura?
Choose a seasonal sea-inflatable outing at Žal beach in Petrčane, a pool-and-waterslide day at Zaton Holiday Resort, or a ropes-course visit to Adventure Park Kožino. Check opening, access and suitability for your children directly, then return to Villa Lostura in Kožino.
Can non-residents use Zaton Holiday Resort’s pools?
The resort’s FAQ checked on 30 September 2026 allows day visitors, subject to resort entrance and pool-access charges. Confirm the current charges, which pools and slides are operating, capacity and children’s restrictions directly with Zaton for your date. A Villa Lostura booking does not include resort access.
Where are the sea inflatables in Petrčane?
Local Hotel Pinija guidance identifies a seasonal inflatable water park at Žal beach near the hotel and Punta Radman peninsula. Ask Petrčane Tourist Office to confirm the current operator and whether the attraction is running before you travel. Its contact details are not an operator booking line.
How tall must children be for Adventure Park Kožino?
The operator currently states a minimum climbing height of 120 cm. Children must be accompanied by an adult and wear closed shoes. Ask which course is suitable, whether the adult must participate, and how supervision and safety equipment work for your group before booking.
Does Villa Lostura book or include these activities?
No. These are suggestions for independent outings. Guests arrange their own transport, confirm suitability, book where required and pay each operator directly. Tickets, equipment, supervision and transfers are not included in the villa stay.
Can we do all three activities in one day?
We suggest choosing one main outing per day. Use two days for a water-based outing and a separate treetop adventure, leaving room for meals, rest and time at the villa. These outdoor activities depend on season and weather; they are not guaranteed year-round or rainy-day options.
