Give the lakes a day of their own
Choose the day around the inland forecast, not just the sunshine at the villa. Check the journey to your booked park entrance, leave early and allow for breaks, walking and the return drive. Avoid adding another national park or city. Pack layers, rain protection and walking shoes with good grip; wet boardwalks and uneven paths deserve an unhurried pace.

Buy tickets through the park’s official online system and follow the entrance and arrival time on your booking. Opening hours, boats, panoramic vehicles and available paths change with season and conditions. Check the live notices before leaving; do not build the day around a route that is closed.
- A shorter option: programme A starts at Entrance 1 and explores the Lower Lakes. The park lists 3.5 km and around 2–3 hours.
- A longer option: programme H starts at Entrance 2 and covers both lake sections, with boat and vehicle connections. The park lists 8.9 km and around 4–6 hours, when the programme is operating.
These are the park’s route estimates, not journey times from the villa. Choose according to daylight, current access and everyone’s mobility. Paths are not fully wheelchair-adapted; ask the park about specific access needs before booking.
Back to Lostura: the other half of the day
Come home to a different kind of water: your heated pool, jacuzzi or sauna. Then let dinner take its time. The two indoor kitchens make a shared meal easy to organise, while the indoor fireplace belongs to warmth and conversation, not cooking. A sofa, a glass of wine and the photographs you took can be all the evening needs.

October and November can offer beautiful moments inland, but neither foliage nor dry weather follows a booking calendar.
